Aarva

The world as your classroom, the finest journalism as your curriculum.

Daily thoughtful
journalism for you
to listen to.

Every day, a handpicked selection of the most considered, mind-expanding, wonder-inducing journalism — from across a range of topics. Gathered, narrated, and delivered for your ears.

What you get each day

Aarva isn't a feed. It's an edition.

Two things land each day.

The first is a set of narrated articles, arranged not by topic but by what each piece is doing for you — what's coming next, what sits behind the headlines, what scratches a deep curiosity, what restores you, what makes you smile.

The second is the Crosscut. One bespoke episode in which two pieces from related territory are placed in conversation. Bridges between them. Angles surfaced. Connections drawn out. Designed to make you think more deeply — and to notice the unexpected adjacencies in the world we live in.

Or ask for anything

The daily edition is the editorial spine. Beyond that, you can choose to ask for an episode to be created about anything on your mind using the prompt at the top of every page. Type a subject, a question or even just how you want to feel emotionally, and Aarva will create an episode for you by pairing two articles around your query and narrating them into a single new episode with a (sometimes surprising) connection between them drawn out. Each resulting episode re-enters the catalog in the Listener-created section.

How pieces are chosen

Every piece comes from a small set of trusted sources — a list that keeps growing as we find writing that lives up to the bar. Each one is checked for rigour and editorial integrity, not for clicks.

Selections are made to ignite questions. To generate wonder and delight. To expand horizons. To build bridges.

No breaking news. No anxiety cycle.
Just journalism that delights, educates, and expands the mind.

Made for listening

Audio first — so you can engage with it whenever. On a walk. In the kitchen. Between meetings. The day's edition is yours to reach for when reading isn't possible.

And when a piece pulls you in and you'd rather read it, every Aarva page links back to the original, where the publication's words live untouched.
